WHO ARE WE?

What are Repair Cafés?

Repair Cafés are groups of volunteers who organize free repair workshops to give objects a second life.

Through these free workshops, we aim to involve participants as much as possible to help them get familiar with repair.

An international movement

The movement started in 2009 in the Netherlands and arrived in Montreal in 2016. Belgium, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, the United States — Repair Cafés are now popping up all over the world!

Currently, Repair Café Montréal organizes monthly events at the Espace des possibles in Petite-Patrie. Other repair workshops also take place in Montreal and throughout Quebec!
